Lost & Found pets

We partner with Petco Love Lost, a free tool that uses photo matching to help reunite pets with their families.
Start by reporting a lost or found pet and uploading a photo.

Found a Dog

Call Othello Police Department (509-488-3314) to report the dog. An officer will respond.

• Dogs are brought to Hands ‘N Paws once secured

• Held for 72 hours for owner reclamation

• Unclaimed dogs may be placed for adoption

Othello does not currently have a process for stray cats. If you find a cat, please post on Petco Love Lost and local community pages.

Missing a Dog

• Report your pet on Petco Love Lost

• Call Othello PD and Hands ‘N Paws (509-246-1245)

• Email us a photo so we can help share

Reclaiming Your Pet

Call 509-246-1245 for a same-day appointment

• Proof of ownership required

• Fees must be paid before release

Prevention

• ID tags

• Microchip your pet ($25 at Hands ‘N Paws)

• Keep contact info up to date
